STYLED BY: LeSportsac FOR PHILIPPINE STAR (NOV 2012)

Last month I did a shoot for Philippine Star’s Fashion & Beauty section featuring the brand, LeSportsac, and their newest Manoush collection which was modeled by these lovely girls: Kerry and Kylie Tinga - daughters of philanthropist Kaye Tinga, and Annika Valdes - daughter of Tessa Prieto Valdes.

Here’s Anikka wearing head to toe Zara with her metallic LeSportsac bag.

Kylie wore warm hues with her printed LeSportsac.

SLIDE KICKS

Okay okay, forgive me for my extra corny blog title. It’s just that I can’t seem to concentrate on finishing this entry because I’m bound for Taiwan in a few hours! AAAHH! (happy dance) Honestly, this trip is three years in the making. We planned it back in 2009 but somehow I always ended up not going and its a common joke my friends and I share. This time though, it’s finally happening! So thankful and excited for this because I get to take a few days off work too. But before I finally relax and stuff myself with Xiao Long Bao, here’s a quickie style post for you! :)

Anything familiar about my outfit? If you guessed the leggings then you are right! Wore this pair a couple of months back here. It’s really great how you can style one piece of clothing in so many different ways! I tried the tone-on-tone “equestrian in heels” (haha) look the last time and now I’m going for a rugged, more masculine style. All I have to do is grow a beard and I’m all set! Lol.

                 image

Super comfortable wedge kicks! Perfect for long hours and on-location shoots. Wish I could afford the Marant high tops I’ve been lusting over for months now but this pair from Topshop isn’t bad at all. It really does wonders for your posture too!

And I’m off to spend my Halloween weekend! Hope you all enjoy yours :)

LUMINOUS

Quick outfit post before I head out! :)

First time to try a lot of things for this entry: 1.The black and white photos, 2.The “ray of light” effect on the pictures, 3.Taking these outfit shots in the busy streets of Makati - specifically outside the Coexist headquarters (which I’ll blog about soon enough). Whew, that’s a lot of firsts!

So I wore this outfit on a busy day, full of meetings and work errands. Don’t I look businessy? Harhar. I adore the scallop hem of my navy skirt and the print goes so well with my top. Yep, another print on print look for you!

Silver cuff from Bangkok | Dorothy Perkins purple clutch | Aldo rings

Forever 21 checkered top | skirt from Bangkok | Celine glitter wedges

Happy long weekend everybody! xx

CRAZY FOR CORAL

My love affair with this salmon hue started early this year during my unforgettable trip to Bangkok to style for a shoot. It was my first time to shop in BKK and obviously, I went crazy! I took notice of this red-ish, pink-ish tone which was displayed in almost every mall and soon realized that everything I bought (including shoes and yes, underwear) was in this color! So you see, coral holds a special place in my heart! Haha.

Okay okay, enough about love! (pun intended) Aside from being this summer’s most popular color trend, Coral is actually very easy to style. Because of its cool and bright, yet warm shade it gives off that youthful but still sophisticated look. I seem to wonder if it really belongs to the pastel family because for me its such a powerful color - girlish yet edgy, don’t you agree? :)

Its a fresh and upbeat color yet looks very delicate and elegant especially when paired with gold accents. For this particular outfit, I experimented with my belt and used a beige, almost khaki shade to make it more appropriate to wear during the day. But come night time, an edgy gold belt will definitely be perfect to cinch.

Added more sparkle by wearing this gold, glittery pair. I love the cute keyhole detail which matches my neckline too!

*Jumpsuit from Bangkok | H&M gold necklace, cuff and ring | SM belt | Sole Desire shoes

What do you guys think? :)
